TASKS

SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER

Ceramic mural

We will begin the course with a medium-sized individual project: a ceramic mural measuring a maximum of 90 x 90 cm.
We will work on composition, relief, textures and the creation of different elements that will form a unique piece.
This will be an initial introduction to clay to familiarise ourselves with its possibilities and with the basic techniques of modelling and relief.

NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER

The Nativity Scene

With Christmas approaching, we will work on modelling a ceramic Nativity scene.
Each participant will be able to create the main figures and the various elements of the scene, focusing in particular on human forms, volumes, details and textures.
An ideal project for experimenting with the construction of small figures and creating a piece with a Christmassy feel.

JANUARY AND FEBRUARY

Carnival Sculpture

To coincide with Carnival, we’ll delve into the world of sculpture and fantasy.
We’ll create a sculpture inspired by Carnival, playing with characters, masks, costumes, expressions and exaggerated forms.
We’ll work on the volume and structure of the figure, aiming for each piece to have its own personality.

MARCH AND APRIL

Spring

With the arrival of spring, we will create a sculpture inspired by nature and the reawakening of life.
The aim will be to create a piece that represents what spring means to each of us: flowers, animals, human figures, trees, natural elements or more symbolic forms.
A freer and more personal project, where creativity and individual expression will take centre stage.

MAY AND JUNE

Modelling the human figure: a day at the beach

To round off the course, we will work on modelling a human figure from a live model, depicting a character in an everyday beach scene.
This project will allow us to delve deeper into the study of the human figure, proportions, anatomy, movement and posture, by observing the model directly and translating their demeanour and expression into clay.
The aim will be to depict a character enjoying a day at the beach, in a natural and relaxed pose. We will also work on elements that help to
set the scene, such as swimwear, a towel, a bag, a hat or other small accessòries.
